Our Story
Salt & Centered was born during a season when I was searching for peace.
Years ago, a friend mentioned salt therapy to me while I was fighting a cold. I was skeptical. I tucked it away in the back of my mind and moved on.
Then I became a mother. The birth of my son was traumatic, and the months that followed brought a wave of postpartum depression I wasn’t prepared for. I did what I was supposed to do — I asked for help. I met with my OB. I started therapy. I tried medication. And while people reassured me that I was “doing the right things,” I still felt like something was missing.
I began looking beyond the traditional paths — exploring yoga, Reiki, and small ways to feel more at home in my body again. I wasn’t chasing a miracle cure. I was simply trying to find moments of quiet.
Around that same time, my husband’s seasonal allergies flared up, and that old memory of salt therapy resurfaced. We decided to try it together.
What surprised me wasn’t just the physical relief — it was the stillness. For the first time in a long time, I felt grounded. Unrushed. Untouched by expectation. Just present.
That feeling was rare.
And when I realized there was nothing in our community offering that kind of calm, the idea for Salt & Centered began to take shape.
This space isn’t about trends or extremes. It’s about creating a sanctuary — a place where you can breathe deeply, reset gently, and return to yourself. Whether you come for respiratory support, stress relief, or simply a quiet hour away from the noise, you belong here.
Salt & Centered exists because I needed it once, too.
